SPRING 2008 REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR U9 THROUGH U14 TEAMS

Who can register?

• All returning players from fall 2007 Soccer Club teams should register now.
• New players should NOT register until you have received official notification and instructions from the Club registrar.

What is the deadline?

Players who complete their registration by March 21 will be eligible to play in the first game of the season, April 12. Late registrations will be processed as time permits.

Do I need to submit a passcard photo?

Only some teams require player passcards in the spring. If your team requires passcards, your coach will send you further instructions.

What is the registration fee?

The non-refundable registration fee for the spring season is $80. Payment can be made on-line using a credit or debit card from Visa or Mastercard, or an American Express card. We strongly encourage on-line payment, but we will accept checks. Families with financial hardship may request a waiver of the registration fee. It is the Town of Brookline’s policy that no child will be denied the opportunity to play for financial reasons.

Using the new on-line registration system

1. Family Setup: First you will be asked to enter family information. You will only have to do this the first time you register. Please use an e-mail address you check regularly. If you forget your password, you will need your correct e-mail address.
2. Player Setup: Again, you will only have to do this once for each player.
3. Registration for the season: The third section is where you actually register each player for the spring season. If you don’t know which age group to register for, don’t worry – we’ll fix it if it’s the wrong group.
4. Checkout: You may pay by credit card on-line, or indicate that you are submitting a check or requesting a scholarship. If you pay on-line, you’ll get an immediate receipt.

Having a problem registering on-line?

In some circumstances, such as if you use a popup blocker, you may have a problem reaching the registration site through the link above. In that case, try cutting and pasting the following link directly into your browser's address bar:

Also, some corporate and university firewalls do not allow access to this registration site. If you have trouble with access at work, please try again at home.

The registration site is compatible with Internet Explorer versions 4 and above, Firefox, Safari, and most versions of Netscape and AOL. It may or may not work with browsers other than these.

As with any new system, we expect a few glitches during the transition. If you have problems using the system, or any suggestions on how we can make it easier, please contact the Club registrar.

About our new registration software

Our new on-line registration software is from Admin Sports, Inc., a local firm based in Dover, MA. Admin Sports has been serving a large number of soccer and other youth sports programs around New England for many years. Some of the new features which you’ll see include:

• Allowing you to register more than one player at a time.
• Eliminating the need to re-enter family and player information each season. Once the initial data is entered, you’ll only need to enter changes.
• Integrated, secure credit card processing – you don’t need to go to Paypal any more to make your payments.
• We now can accept American Express as well as Visa and Mastercard.
  
  

Registering by mail

If you are unwilling or unable to register on-line, we will continue to accept paper registrations. Please contact the Club registrar (by email or by postal mail at PO Box 566, Brookline MA 02446), and we will mail you a set of registration forms. Please allow additional time for mailing and processing.
